Client Overview

The G.A.M.E (gaming, advertising, media, and entertainment) Conference is an exciting event, hosted by Grand Canyon University's College of Arts and Media, with a main focus on creating community and culture within the gaming industry. This event is both an outreach to industry professionals and prospective students, featuring the first 'Cactus Cup' competition between GCU and ASU for local bragging rights across multiple types of esports titles, as well as tryout opportunities for GCU esports scholarships. The conference consisted of keynote speakers, a student market, tryouts, and premiered the Cactus Cup competition.

The Challenge

The G.A.M.E Conference needed a full branding. A logo, a website, and anything we could come up with to build hype around the event. 

From a clean logo design to a dynamic and exciting website... we were in charge of it all. 

The next step was building a successful campaign that interested both students and professionals in the industry.

“We partnered with Canyon Creative to develop the complete brand identity and digital presence for GAME Conference, our inaugural esports event on campus. Their work was instrumental in building university awareness and engagement for what was a first-of-its-kind initiative for us.

 

Beyond the website design and branding, Canyon Creative created Glitches Revenge, an interactive game that became central to our promotion strategy. By featuring our mascot Thunder as a playable character, they crafted an authentic connection between the game and our campus community. The game drove significant engagement and became a cornerstone of the event's visibility.

 

What truly set their work apart was how they helped us activate campus partnerships. Through collaborations with groups like GCBC on limited edition drink flavors and Spirit Programs for promotional content, Canyon Creative extended its reach across the university. The level of cross-campus involvement we achieved is a direct result of their strategic approach to community engagement.

The G.A.M.E Conference needed cohesive, dynamic, and exciting assets to promote the event and bring an overall professional look. Between our design for the conference and our very own video game to build up the hype, we passed the test with flying colors.
